Nice to meet you!
I am currently a post-doctoral scholar at Stanford’s VMWare Women’s Leadership Innovation Lab and Stanford Impact Labs. Previously, I earned my PhD in Sociology at UC Santa Barbara. My research focuses on organizational culture, white-adjacent groups, and how they navigate their multiple social identities within the workplace. I am inspired by the 10+ years of experience I spent in the high-tech industry.
I earned my B.A. from University of California, Berkeley in English and Ethnic Studies, and my M.S. in Information Science (emphasis in Human-Computer Interaction) from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where I was a full scholarship Achievement Fellow.
As a software and digital product designer, I designed applications and digital experiences for H-E-B, the Frost Museum of Science, Dell, IBM, USAA, and Khan Academy. Until recently, I was based in Austin, Texas. In my free time, you can find me hiking, crocheting, propagating house plants, trying every single bakery in the East Bay, and attempting to become a morning person.
